A family rarely chooses only an apartment.

At the same time, the family is choosing a system in which all of these elements must coexist:

  • school;
  • parents' work;
  • children of different ages;
  • clubs and after-school activities;
  • household duties;
  • Friends;
  • rest;
  • sport;
  • medical and household services.

If one element is in the wrong place, the load is shared across the entire family.

School first or home first?

There is no universal answer.

But choosing a house without taking into account the school is dangerous.

Distance in kilometers says little about the actual route.

Need to check:

  • morning traffic;
  • entrance to the school;
  • queues for disembarkation;
  • the possibility of getting there by an alternative route;
  • return time;
  • coincidence of school schedules for several children;
  • location of circles;
  • the need to pick up children at different times.

The apartment may be only fifteen minutes from the school in the evening and forty minutes in the morning.

Family logistics is a separate project

When there are several children, the number of routes grows quickly.

One child finishes early.

Another has a sports section.

The third one needs to be picked up from kindergarten.

One parent works in an office.

Others work from home part of the time.

Doctors, shopping, meetings, birthdays and weekends are added.

Therefore, a good family area is not necessarily the one where the largest apartment is located.

This is the area that makes the daily system manageable.

The home must support the family

The following are especially important for families:

  • clear entrance;
  • convenient parking;
  • secure common areas;
  • normal storage;
  • space for strollers and bicycles;
  • opportunity to walk;
  • shops and pharmacies nearby;
  • children's playgrounds;
  • predictable operation of elevators;
  • the ability to quickly call a taxi or receive delivery;
  • space for working and studying at home.

A large area does not compensate for a poor use case.

The family area changes along with the children

An area that is convenient for a family with an infant may not be suitable as the children get older.

New needs emerge:

  • independent walks;
  • sports sections;
  • meeting with friends;
  • public transport;
  • safe movement;
  • personal space;
  • more complex school logistics.

Therefore, when buying long-term, you need to look not only at today.

A useful question to ask:

What will our life look like here in three or five years?

Less beautiful promises, more reality

LiveDXB won't call an area family-friendly just because it has a playground in its presentation.

Family is not a decorative characteristic.

It is a combination of routes, security, infrastructure, space and time.

Good family choices reduce the amount of daily chaos.

This should be the main criterion.
